Hey Queen,

It’s time to BOSS UP! is our season! We are no longer allowing negative thoughts, our situation, our mindset, or anything/anyone to stop us from being the Bad B*tch we know we can be! It’s time to invest in yourself and glo up! Below are 5 tips to help you GLO UP:

Move that Body Queen!

Working out is so essential, Queen! Listen, I’m not asking you to go ahead and run a whole marathon and work out 6 days a week, lol. But what I am asking is for you to take time out of your day, whether it’s 15 minutes, 30 minutes or an hour, to dedicate to movement. Movement of any kind such as dancing, working out in the gym, going for a nice walk, or going for a jog. The benefits of working out are that it makes you feel empowered. It boosts your endorphins to make you feel good and energized. Exercise improves mental health by reducing anxiety, depression, negative moods and by improving self-esteem and cognitive function. Exercise has also been found to alleviate symptoms such as low self-esteem and social withdrawal.

Get Your Pen Out And Freestyle!

Journaling is so therapeutic. Journaling evokes mindfulness and helps you remain present while keeping perspective. It helps you get your thoughts out. Journaling is freewriting. You write about whatever comes to mind — how you feel, how your day went, etc. In addition, if you are journaling daily, it helps you identify any triggers you may have. This helps you keep track of your mood daily, keeping you in tune with your emotions and helping you process life experiences. Writing can help you learn ways to cope and overcome your feelings.

Creating a Morning Routine

I will dedicate a separate post about Morning Routines that has really helped me glo up and feel so great in the morning. It is essential to have a routine that is tailored to you and something you can stick to on a daily basis. All it takes is 21 days to make a habit and 9 days for it to fully stick. Try not to reach for your phone as the first thing you do when you wake up. Here is a short mid-day example of a morning routine:

Wake Up | Have a fresh glass of lemon water

  • Lemon water cleanses the body of toxins of from the night

  • Stimulates your metabolism

Read in the morning

  • Makes you feel productive

  • Gain some inspiration for your day

  • Learning something new

Say your affirmations

  • Loosen up your muscles after a nights rest

  • Prevents headaches and backaches

  • Stress-free

Take a nice shower

  • Be intentional about your shower! Take a few more minutes to lather your body or wash your face. Maybe even try a new body scrub!

Hearty breakfast

  • Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Having breakfast boosts up your energy, nourishes your body and your inputting the vitamins and protein you need to start off your day

Take Some Water and HYDRATE Queen!

  • Many of us do not drink water!! Water has so many benefits including improving her skin, hair, heart, blood flow, and the list goes on! Please try and drink 6-8 glasses of water a day! If you do not like the taste of water then infuse your water with lemon, mint leaves, strawberries, etc! Stay Hydrated!

Always Look Presentable Boo!

  • When you look good you feel good! I believe in this statement wholeheartedly. When you are running errands instead of throwing on anything and your bonnet… (yes I am calling out some of yall, even myself!) intentionally put on something cute! For example, you can throw on biker shorts, a basic tee, a dad hat,

perfume, a cute bag, and be on your way. Having your lipgloss and putting on some mascara can really give you that BOOST and confidence! We want to always show up as our best selves. Even when we don’t feel good, still dress up and get yourself together. Trick your

mind and I guarantee you will begin to feel better once you do that.

This is just a sample of what you can do! Customize your morning routine to your schedule and needs.

Hope you found these tips to be useful/helpful to you! Remember to give yourself grace and go at your own pace! Stay Tune for Part Two!
